Dino Day & Dino Week

The Everybody Chase the Dinosaur launches Dino Week in spectacular style – a Jurassic-themed celebration that brings the community together for fun, fitness, and fundraising! Whether you're sprinting, strolling, or stomping in a dino costume, this event is all about laughs, sunshine, and supporting the incredible Will Mackaness Trust.
Dino Week activities includes crafts, trails and lots of fun for the whole family.

Dino Workshops at Sunnyside Studio
This half-term Sunnyside Studio are going a little Jurassic-inspired with some mini science & messy fun, perfect for curious hands and creative minds.

WW2 Week Half-term

Step back in time at the Fort and experience life during World War II!
Take part in hands-on wartime activities, from soldier drills and assault courses to plane spotting and Morse code messaging. Try your hand as an anti-aircraft gun operator, dispatch rider, or ARP warden, and enjoy crafts like making binoculars.

Join the Nothe Fort for a fun-filled day of science activities and demonstrations for the whole family! Explore the Fort with the Sensory Explorer Challenge and earn a certificate, test your creativity with the Arch Architect Activity, and discover what you can build in their exciting Magnetic Games.

Curated by artist Elaine Harris, this exhibition shines a light on hidden treasures, showcasing cherished objects and stories generously shared by local people across Dorset of all ages.
APRIL
Anzac Day Service
25 April
Weymouth’s annual Anzac Day service will be held on Saturday 25th April at 11am by the Anzac Memorial, opposite the Hotel Prince Regent. The public is invited to join this service of remembrance, honoring the thousands of Australian and New Zealand volunteer service personnel who passed through Dorset during the First World War.

Wessex Folk Festival

The free Wessex Folk Festival returns to Weymouth on 30th and 31st May 2026! Enjoy two stages of live music, Morris dancing, trade stalls, delicious food, and more along the picturesque Harbourside and Hope Square. Everyone is welcome!

Armed Forces Weekend

This year’s event takes place on Saturday 20th June and Sunday 21st June, with the Armed Forces Flag raising ceremony outside our offices at the New Town Hall, Commercial Road, on Monday 22nd June.
Weymouth Triathlon
Sun 14 June
Featuring Middle, Classic, and Sprint distances based from the race HQ at Weymouth College. Swim in the stunning Weymouth Bay, cycle through scenic rolling routes, and finish with a run around Lodmoor Nature Reserve. Organised by Bustinskin Events, this is a challenge you won’t want to miss!

Weymouth Beach Rugby Fest is back for 2026!
From Friday 10th July to Sunday 12th July, enjoy a weekend of sand, sun, music, and tag rugby on Weymouth’s beautiful beach. Teams from across the UK will join locals for men’s, women’s, and family matches—whether you’re a seasoned pro or just looking for fun with friends!
