IRONMAN 70.3 Weymouth courses are here…

We can’t wait to welcome you to IRONMAN 70.3 Weymouth this year and we’re excited to announce a few small changes to the swim and run courses.

SWIM COURSE:

The new 1.2 mile (1.9 km) swim course is composed of one clockwise lap, turning at the large orange buoys. Swim straight out, away from Weymouth’s beach for 250 meters before taking a right turn and swimming towards Weymouth Town. At 1km you will take 2 right hand turns and swim back up the coastline. At 1.8km you will make your final left hand turn back towards Swim Exit.

RUN COURSE:

The updated route is a 2.5 lap course starting from Transition and heading out to the Overcombe roundabout before turning back towards Weymouth town running along the beachfront. You will then loop past the Finish Line before a 2-way section along the bustling Custom House Quay. After a U-turn under the Town Bridge, they will then make their way back towards Lodmoor via Alexandra Gardens and a short out and back section.

We are also very excited for our Registration, Merchandise, Expo and Finish Line to be returning to The Pavilion! With the crowds of Weymouth and the sandy beaches, it’s a great place to soak up the atmosphere.
