ROCKABILLY REBEL FUNDRAISER – CELEBRATING THE LIFE & LEGACY OF GRAHAM FENTON

As the unmistakable voice behind classics such as Rockabilly Rebel, Midnite Dynamos, When You Ask About Love and Over The Rainbow, Graham helped pioneer the UK Rockabilly revival and introduced a new generation to the spirit of 1950s rock ’n’ roll. Matchbox remain hugely popular today, attracting over 117,000 monthly Spotify listeners and continuing to inspire fans around the world.

Graham sadly passed away in August 2025. In recognition of the efforts made to help him, this event will raise funds for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and the British Heart Foundation.

Although Graham wasn’t a local lad, he had a strong connection to Portland through family, with his sister living on the island. He visited the area regularly and loved spending time on the Jurassic Coast, making Weymouth and Portland a place that was close to his heart.

On Saturday 19th December, the Weymouth and Portland rock ’n’ roll community will come together for a very special 12-hour charity fundraiser (12pm–12am) celebrating the life, music and incredible legacy of Graham Fenton, legendary frontman of Matchbox and one of the most influential figures in British Rockabilly.
