We Are Weymouth is delighted to announce the return of the highly anticipated DINO run and DINO week now in its second year
Saturday 15th February
11-4pm
🦖Attention, Dino Fans! 🦖
Get ready for a ROAR-some adventure! 🦕
On February 15th, real-life dinosaurs are coming to town with their rangers! 🦖
🕚 11:00 AM - Watch out! We've heard these dinos might get loose and roam the streets, on their arrival outside the White Hart in New Bond Street! 😱 Their handlers aren't very good at taming them 🦕 so look out for the T-Rex, Raptor and Allosaurus and give the Rangers a hand.
🏃♂️ 12:30 PM - Join them before the 'Dino Run' warm-up on the beach, where you'll see hundreds of dinosaurs of all ages and maybe even dress up as one yourself!!! 🌊
📍 2-4pm - St. Thomas Street & New Bond Street - If they can't be tamed, catch them making appearances here! 🦖

Everybody Chase The Dinosaur
Saturday 15th February 1pm
Sign up and run (in the 5km from the Pavilion end of Weymouth Beach to the stones at Greenhill and back!
For the under 16’s we also have a 2km option, from the Pavilion end of the beach to the Pier Bandstand and back!
For the under 11’s we have a 1km option from the Pavilion end of the beach to the Beach Office and back!
And for preschoolers a short race from the sand sculptures to the Pavilion
Why:
To launch dinosaur week
To raise money for local Charity Will Mackaness Trust
To own a wristband showing you took part
Winner of adult race* - to be THE dinosaur being chased next year.
First, Second, Third places* to receive a medal and all children will receive a small gift
* (to win you need to be in a dinosaur costume)
Where:
Weymouth beach – from the Pavilion end
Sign in (at the Pavilion) and receive wristband from 11:00am
Warm up at 12.45 for an 1pm start
