– We Are Weymouth launches its Spring Window Competition, celebrating the start of spring and the season here in Weymouth –

As the winter chill begins to wane and signs of spring emerge, Weymouth’s bustling town centre gears up for a vibrant showcase of creativity with the launch of the Spring Window Competition. Local businesses are invited to adorn their shop windows with enchanting displays inspired by the season, adding a touch of charm and springtime allure to the heart of Weymouth.

The competition, organised by We Are Weymouth, Weymouth’s Business Improvement District, aims to celebrate the town’s unique charm and community spirit while enticing visitors and locals alike to explore the town centre’s diverse offerings. Participating businesses will transform their windows in time for the Easter break, into captivating displays, embracing the theme of spring in all its glory.

Judging will take place in April, giving ample time for businesses to craft their masterpieces. The entries will be voted for by the public as well as visited by an award-winning judge who will evaluate the windows based on creativity, adherence to the theme, and overall visual impact. The winner of the competition will be announced at an award presentation evening at the Nothe Fort in June, where they will not only earn bragging rights but also receive a coveted marketing package courtesy of We Are Weymouth.

Dawn Rondeau-Irvine, Chief Operations Officer at We Are Weymouth, comments: “Following the success of our Winter Wonderland Window Competition, we knew we had to see what our amazing businesses would come up with for spring.  The beginning of spring really highlights the start of the season for us here in Weymouth and really should be celebrated.

The Spring Window Competition is a fantastic opportunity for businesses in Weymouth to showcase their creativity and engage with the community. As we welcome the arrival of spring, we look forward to seeing the town centre adorned with colourful displays that capture the essence of the season.”

Local residents and visitors are encouraged to explore Weymouth’s town centre throughout the competition period to admire the stunning window displays and support participating businesses by voting for their favourite. Whether strolling along the historic streets or enjoying the picturesque waterfront, Weymouth promises a delightful experience for all.
