Dusk Til Dark 2026

Join us on Westham Bridge in Weymouth for an immersive light and sound installation, produced by Dorset-based Activate Performing Arts.

‘Wave’ by artists Squidsoup, consists of five hundred suspended orbs shaped like a breaking ocean wave. Each orb contains LED lights, a speaker and microcomputer, with movement sensor and wireless connectivity. As you move through the artwork, the orbs shift in harmonies of sound and light resulting in a calming and sensory experience. The 500 interconnected glowing orbs use Internet of Things technology to create an environment filled with movement, sound and emotion.

‘Wave’ will offer you a moment of escape – a peaceful sanctuary in an increasingly chaotic world.

There will also be additional sound and light experiences within the town as part of We Are Weymouth’s Dusk til Dark event.
