Hamiltons is located in Brunswick terrace, an outstandingly well preserved Georgian terrace situated near Greenhill on Weymouth seafront, with a stunning view of Weymouth bay.
The business was originally established in 1965 by Domenico D’Agostino from Monte Cassino in Italy as an ice cream parlour and café. It is now in the hands of his two sons, Marco and Ernesto, and is very much a family concern. During the day you can still purchase anything from a cappuccino to a delicious Home-made pasta dish, however in the evening the premises transform into a stylish a la carte restaurant.
Hamiltons chef, Marco trained under the world famous Anton Mossimann at the Dorchester hotel in London. Marcos culinary training and expertise is reflected in his work with innovative and ever changing menus, always using the finest ingredients, including freshly caught local seafood.
Ernesto ensures the smooth running of the restaurant. He also trained as a chef and with an excellent knowledge of wines, his recommendations are often welcomed by regular customers.
