Farewell to Tamsin Mutton-McKnight – A Decade of Dedication to Weymouth
This month, We Are Weymouth bids a heartfelt farewell to our longest-serving Board member, Tamsin Mutton-McKnight, who is stepping down after more than 11 years of voluntary service to the town’s Business Improvement District (BID).
Joining the Board on 15th May 2014, Tamsin has played a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the BID through years of change and growth. Her contribution spans every aspect of our work – from supporting local businesses and championing events to helping deliver place-making projects that have brought thousands of visitors to our town.
Tamsin’s dedication has extended well beyond board meetings. She represented Weymouth through the Local Visitor Economy Partnership and served on our marketing subcommittee, lending her expertise to deliver events and initiatives that made a real difference to our community.
Now, Tamsin is heading to Norfolk to take up a new role with Merlin Entertainments and the Sea Life team. While we’ll miss her insight, professionalism and good judgement, we know she’ll bring the same energy and commitment to her next chapter.
Graham Perry, Chair of the Board, summed up our feelings:
“It is very sad to be losing Tamsin after serving over eleven years as a Director. Her good judgement, professionalism and expertise will be sorely missed. The work of all the BID directors, who serve without any remuneration, is vital to the operation of the BID and we are particularly grateful to Tamsin who has contributed immeasurably to our work during her time on the Board.”
Dawn Rondeau-Irvine, Chief Operations Officer, added:
“Over the past 11 years, Tamsin has generously volunteered her time and expertise, helping to shape our priorities and championing Weymouth’s visitor economy. She will be greatly missed, not just on the board but across the town.”
From all of us at We Are Weymouth – thank you, Tamsin, for everything you’ve done for the BID, our businesses, and the wider community. We wish you the very best for your exciting new role.
