-Spooky Season in Weymouth: Zombie trail, Halloween Parade, Spooky Cruise, Trunk or Treat & Nothe of the Living Dead –
This October, We Are Weymouth is set to bring a host of hauntingly good Halloween events to the town, promising fun for families and frights for thrill-seekers.
Building on last year’s Pirate Zombie trail, We Are Weymouth, in partnership with Island Community Action and Epic Games are launching the Grimm’s scary-Tales trail with LIVE action characters on the launch date on 25th October (£2.75 per person) booking advised. A FREE Scary-tale treasure hunt will then continue to run throughout the week via posters with QR links to videos
NEW for 2025 the celebrations include a brand-new take on Weymouth’s famous Halloween Parade, on Thursday 30th October, leading through the town and finishing with a Trunk or Treat event at The Melcombe Regis car park. Inspired by Weymouth, Massachusetts, where the tradition has long been established, the Trunk or Treat will see cars creatively decorated and filled with sweets and gifts for children to enjoy in a safe and spooky environment. With up to 40 local businesses competing for the best ‘trunk’ of the night, and with cash prizes up for grabs, there’s set to be some spooktacular creations. Alongside this spooky display, there will be hot dogs/burgers and hot chocolate from The Palm House, Bennett’s Fish & Chips, Bacaro bar and Halloween activities – an evening of entertainment for witches, zombies, ghosts and vampires alike with a Spooky cruise departing from behind the Pavilion for older participants, starting at 9pm.

Halloween in a coastal town wouldn’t be complete without a trip on the high seas, the brilliant and newly launched Coastal Vibes is running two Halloween cruises into Weymouth Bay, both are family friendly, and costumes are a must!
For those seeking a scarier night out, Nothe Fort once again transforms into one of the UK’s spookiest attractions with Nothe of the Living Dead. Now in its sixth year, the immersive horror experience has become a firm favourite with fans across the Southwest and beyond. The event combines jump scares, escape-room style challenges and puzzles, as participants race against time to save the world from an undead takeover.
Dawn Rondeau-Irvine, Chief Operations Officer at We Are Weymouth, comments: “Weymouth is known for its spectacular seasonal celebrations and this October is no different. From the family-friendly fun of the Halloween Parade and brand-new Trunk or Treat to the Spooky cruise, live music in the town and spine-tingling scares at Nothe of the Living Dead, there really is something for everyone this Halloween. We really love that we’re connecting with Weymouth Massachusetts, bringing elements of an American Halloween to Weymouth, Dorset and we hope to build on this for years to come.”
