– We Are Weymouth and Activate Performing Arts present the 4th annual Dusk Til Dark performing arts event (27th & 28th September 2024): a free spectacle for the whole family –

Weymouth, 27-28 September 2024 – We Are Weymouth is delighted to announce the return of the highly anticipated Dusk Til Dark event, now in its fourth year. This exciting, FREE-TO-ATTEND performing arts event is perfect for the whole family and will be held over two days, transforming Weymouth into a vibrant hub of music, light, and drumbeats!

Welcoming back the renowned Worldbeaters, this year’s Dusk Til Dark will feature the enthralling “Spark!” show and the highly anticipated WORLD PREMIERE of “Fireflies”.  For over a decade Worldbeaters have toured Spark! captivating audiences with choreography, dynamic drumming, and dazzling light displays. 

This year’s Dusk Til Dark event will take place in various locations across the town with drum performances on the cliffs of Bowleaze, to weaving through the town in a procession of beats and light.  

Event Highlights:

  • Friday, 27 September 2024: Prepare to be amazed by “Spark!”, a high-energy live music performance featuring the exceptional percussion talents of Worldbeaters. This spectacular show will pop up in three different locations across Weymouth, filling the streets with pulsating rhythms and glowing performances.
  • Saturday, 28 September 2024: Witness the world premiere of “Fireflies” on Weymouth Esplanade. This eagerly awaited processional show will mesmerize spectators with a fusion of drumming, light, and community performers, creating an unforgettable sensory experience.

We Are Weymouth in collaboration with Activate Performing Arts, invites everyone to immerse themselves in this magical event. The Dusk Til Dark event has become a beloved tradition, drawing thousands of visitors each year to celebrate Weymouth’s vibrant arts scene.
